Decatur's first ever Litter Critter, a white-tailed deer, was installed at the Overlook Adventure Park in May 2019. The Litter Critter was created by South Carolina Artist Jim Swaim.
The Critter was filled with collected litter around the park and is an artistic reminder to people of all ages to be vigilant in the fight against littering. Anti-littering car decals were also passed out at the installation event to remind folks to, "Be a dear, put it here!"
